International and Domestic Health Certificates in Covington, GA

At Countryside Animal Hospital, we’re here to help you and your pet prepare for safe and successful travel—whether you’re heading across the country or around the world. Traveling with a pet, especially internationally, requires careful planning and a clear understanding of the necessary requirements. We recommend starting with the USDA’s pet travel resources to stay informed about the proper steps for both domestic and international trips.

To make things easier, we offer a travel certificate request form that you can complete at your convenience. Once submitted, our team will reach out to guide you through the process and ensure your pet receives the appropriate exams, treatments, and documentation needed for your journey. If you have any questions along the way, feel free to contact us at (770) 788-7387 —we’re happy to help!

Health Certificate Requirement/Proof of Rabies Vaccine - If the animal being shipped is 12 weeks or older (according to the date of travel, not the inspection date), then a rabies vaccine is required by most states. A copy of a rabies certificate must also be submitted or brought to the appointment if Countryside did not administer the current rabies vaccine. If the animal does not have a current rabies vaccine, the vaccine can be given at the time of the health certificate appointment.
